PUPPY SCHOOL
Help your puppy start off on the right paw
Next Class: Tuesday 21st February 2012
Puppy School Classes are run every month for 4 weeks and are held on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6.30pm and last approximately 1 hour.
Puppy Preschool is a safe way to socialise your puppy, and start them off on the basics of training.
They will learn good manners, which includes basic obedience commands such as 'Come', 'Sit', 'Drop', 'Wait', 'Stay' and 'Heel'. All training is reward-based or motivational. There are also lots of play sessions.
The course will also cover such things as:
- How dogs learn
- Socialization - Dogs, meeting people, life experiences, Environmental sounds & Situations
- Calming & settling
- Handling & Gentling
- Bite Inhibition/Mouthing
- Jumping up
- House & family pets
- Toilet training
- Separation Tolerance
- Environmental Enrichment -activities to keep your puppy happy in its backyard
- Basic health care
- Toys & Games
- Car safety
How old should my puppy be?
Puppies should be between 10 - 20 weeks of age. This is the optimal time for training and ensures all puppies in the class are socialised in a safe environment which is appropriate for their age and size.
How Much does Puppy School Cost?
Puppy School is a four week course and includes a graduation certificate and folder. Our Puppy School trainer has over 10 years experience in training and has vital information on raising a well behaved puppy. The cost of the course is $88.00.
